George Thorogood and the Destroyers

Recorded from a KFAT Fat Fry at the Keystone Palo Alto, CA 1979.
This performance was captured live off the air to reel to reel.

One Monday night in 1979 I loaded up the trusty Teac A-3340S into the trunk of my 1972 Triumph TR6 and headed up to Palo Alto.
Pulling in behind Gary Faller's remote production truck I had expected to connect my reel to reel to the mixing board output
for a direct feed of the concert mix as I had done many times before. To my disappointment a local radio station, KSJO, had gotten there first. I was turned away.
Driving back down towards the South Bay I decided to stop and knock on a friends door whom I knew had a high quality FM tuner.
He agreed to allow me to make the recording using his system. Thanks Kevin!
